Overview

Alexandre joined Linklaters Luxembourg in April 2022, and he has been promoted Managing Associate in 2024.

He advises international clients on the structuring, set-up, organization and ongoing assistance of alternative investment funds (both regulated and unregulated) with a particular focus on ELTIFs, private equity, real estate, venture capital, private debt funds. He also advises leading asset managers on the structuring and establishment investment funds to qualifying as Article 8 SFDR product contributing to an environmental or social objective. In addition, he also acts on behalf of investors in respect of the negotiation of their investments into a variety of asset classes.

In parallel, Alexandre advises global financial institutions on a variety of regulatory matters (e.g. MiFID, AIFMD, AML, securitization and outsourcing), notably licensing requirements, major financial services regulations, and Luxembourg regulatory restructurings.

Alexandre supports Linklaters’ Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives.

Work highlights:
  • BlackRock Investment Management (UK) Limited: advising on the establishment of the first European Long Term Investment Fund of Blackrock open for retail investors, including structuring, distribution and regulatory aspects. The ELTIF follows a private equity strategy through co-investments with different investment vehicles of Blackrock, thus giving an opportunity to retail investors to participate in the alternative investments.
  • A major global infrastructure and private debt fund manager: advising on the establishment, structuring and negotiations for a debt fund focusing on fund financing.
  • One of the largest global financial data service providers and market infrastructures: advising on the Luxembourg regulatory framework applicable to the trading and marketing of derivatives giving exposure to various underlying crypto assets and requirements for registrations as a virtual asset service provider.

Education and qualifications

Alexandre holds a Master’s degree in Law & Financial Engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Lyon III University.

Alexandre gained valuable professional experience in companies and law firms in France and Luxembourg.

He is fluent in French and English. He is registered to the Luxembourg bar.
