Keeping up to date with the economic responses to the Russia/Ukraine crisis

The international response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has mostly taken the form of economic and political sanctions and restrictions. Commercial organisations dealing with Russian parties or having business there are now facing a veritable minefield of constantly changing permissions and prohibitions. Working out exactly what is now legally permissible and what is not is almost a fulltime job. Getting it wrong risks civil and criminal liability, not to mention commercial and reputational damage.

Our global sanctions team is working hard to ensure we are always on top of the latest developments and understand their implications. We have been providing regular reports for our clients on newly issued sanctions and their effects since the invasion started. In case you missed them, here is our collection of publications tracking sanctions developments over the six months since the crisis first began.

These publications are intended to provide an overview of developments and are not intended to provide advice. If you have specific issues you would like to discuss with a member of our sanctions team, please contact one of our lawyers listed on this page.
