Edouard Chapellier, Tax partner at Linklaters, appointed Chair of the Invest Europe Tax Committee

Linklaters is announcing the appointment of its Tax partner Edouard Chapellier as Chair of the Tax Committee for Invest Europe, a European level professional association of private capital providers, after having been its France Representative.

The Tax Committee, which gathers representatives from European countries as well as from the main Private Equity platforms, meets on a regular basis to analyse, examine and better apprehend the evolutions of tax laws that may impact investments in private equity. The Committee also makes proposals on Invest Europe’s positions and supports the Private Equity industry on all the main European tax subjects.

As head of the tax practice at Linklaters Paris, Edouard Chapellier is known as one of the best practitioners of tax law in France. He advises companies, investment funds and banks on the French and international tax aspects of complex transactions, such as M&A transactions, LBOs, joint ventures creations and real estate acquisitions. He has a strong experience in terms of Private Equity and real estate funds set up in a number of jurisdictions, in France and in Europe.

Invest Europe is the world’s largest association of private capital providers. It represents Europe’s private equity, venture capital and infrastructure investment firms, as well as their investors, including some of Europe’s largest pension funds and insurers. Invest Europe aims to promote a better understanding of private equity that enables its members to invest capital and expertise into improving business performance.
