Experience includes the structuring and documenting of OTC derivative transactions, including commodity and emissions-related derivatives, interest rate, currency and inflation-linked products, credit derivatives and equity derivatives. Advisory work includes regulatory capital, collateral and netting. Acts for a range of entities, including investment banks, corporates, energy firms and investment managers and is a regular speaker on a wide range of topics.
Commodities and energy-related experience includes:
- regular advice on trading documentation for all commodity asset classes, including metals leasing transactions, master netting arrangements, collateral and regulatory capital analysis
- preparing standard form trading and custody documentation for LME metals for a leading investment bank
- advising Barclays Bank PLC on metals hedging arrangements with Aser Recuperación del Zinc, S.L. in connection with the entry into of a €355,500,000 Senior Facilities Agreement
- advice on commodity and freight hedging transactions in the context of acquisitions of commodity-producing firms, including forward sales and refining margin hedges
- advising a leading investment bank on metals hedging arrangements in connection with a pre-export financing transaction
