Overview

Astrid is an associate who joined Linklaters in 2020 as part of the Real Estate Practice Group in Brussels. She has experience in real estate law, including real estate M&A, construction, energy and infrastructure, administrative law and business law in general. She is involved in a range of projects and real estate transactions and advises both Belgian and international clients.

Work highlights

Astrid has advised on a wide range of real estate transactions. These include advising:

  • CBRE on the conclusion of a joint venture and the subsequent acquisition of logistic buildings in Belgium, Luxembourg, Sweden and Denmark.
  • Cofinimmo on the acquisition of 5 retirement homes via a contribution for shares.
  • Fedimmo in connection with the sale of 25 Belgian properties to Downtown Real Estate and Straco
  • CBRE and PEC Holdings on the acquisition of the concession rights to the Ghent Logistic Campus.
  • Baltisse Real Estate and QRF Management on the sale of the newly constructed Pelican office / retail complex in Antwerp (via a share deal) to different entities of the ACV group.
  • Nuveen Real Estate on the divestment of 100% of the shares in Outlet Mall Messancy.
  • Inter Real Estate Trusty CVA on the acquisition of the Grand Bazar shopping centre in Antwerp. 
  • Cityforward and Whitewood on the acquisition of the long-term lease rights on 21 buildings of the EU portfolio.

Education and qualifications

Astrid obtained her law degree from the KU Leuven, Belgium, and the Ludwig Maximilians Universität in Munich within the framework of an Erasmus programme. She holds a Masters degree in Notary Law from KU Leuven and an LL.M. degree from UC Berkeley, California. In 2022, Astrid took part in the Young Professionals Program Vastgoedkunde at the KU Leuven.

Astrid speaks Dutch, English and French.
