Overview
Elena is a counsel in the corporate and M&A department in Madrid. Elena’s main area of expertise is corporate law, having worked on different M&A transactions, private equity deals, joint ventures and restructuring (including both corporate and finance), both cross-border and local transactions. Elena also has experience in general legal corporate advice and in corporate related matters advising both Spanish and international clients.
Chambers ranks her as an "associate to watch" in private equity. Clients say that “she has the ability to translate problems into documents" and that "it is great to work with her as she can explain those complex concepts and make them simple. And she always has the business in mind.".

Elena’s prior experience includes:
- Advising Vauban and Crédit Agricole Assurances on the €2.5bn acquisition of a 45% in Bluevía, the Spanish rural fibre company of Telefónica.
- Advising Tensile Capital Management and Portobello Capital on the acquisition of petrol station operator Plenoil.
- Advising Q-Energy on the €1bn sale of a renewable portfolio to Verbund.
- Advising CVC, as majority shareholder of Deoleo, S.A., the largest olive oil producer in the world, as well as Deoleo, S.A. (and its subsidiaries in more than a dozen different jurisdictions) on all corporate matters in relation to the redefining of its capital and finance structure, in particular, a €575,000,000 debt restructuring and a €50m capital increase.
- Advising Carlyle on the acquisition of a 60% stake in technology consultancy company Seidor.
- Advising Prosolia Internacional, parent company of Prosolia Energy, on the acquisition by the European private equity firm InfraVia Capital Partners of a majority stake in the company, which specializes in infrastructure assets, critical metals, real estate, and technology investments.
Education and qualifications
Elena graduated from Universidad Pablo de Olavide, in Seville, with a dual degree in Law and Business Administration from 2005 to 2011. She also enjoyed a four-month academic scholarship in 2009 at Juniata College, where she pursued studies in Business Administration.
