Overview

Giorgio heads the private equity practice in the firm’s Milan office. He specialises in cross-border public and private M&A and private equity transactions. He also represents Italian, international and private equity funds on their most strategically important investments, often working in collaboration with the firm’s financial regulatory and structured finance lawyers.

Giorgio is dual-qualified in both Italian and English law and divides his time between the firm’s Milan and London offices, serving clients in both jurisdictions. 

Work highlights

Giorgio has led on, or been a key adviser in, many major PE and M&A deals. These include advising:

  • BC Partners portfolio company Cigierre, on its investment in Temakinho
  • BC Partners portfolio company Pronovias on the acquisition of Nicole Fashion Group
  • Oakley Capital on the disposal of Facile.it to EQT
  • Clessidra on the acquisition of the 100% of the share capital of Scrigno
  • BC Partners portfolio company Cigierre, on the acquisition of the 100% of the share capital of El Rancho France
  • Three Hills Capital Partners in the exit from a preferred capital investment in Aquafil through a merger with the SPAC Space 3
  • HgCapital on the acquisition of the 70% of the share capital of Dada and the subsequent launch of the mandatory tender offer for the remaining shares of Dada
  • Apax controlled company Invent Farma/Neuraxpharm Group in relation to the acquisition of FB Health
  • Vision Capital on the disposal of Bormioli pharma and tableware businesses
  • Ambienta in connection to the sale of IP Cleaning to Tennant
  • KKR Capital Markets Limited in the acquisition of 70% of the share capital of Sistemia an Italian leader for structured and innovative servicing for the NLPs market
  • Bain Capital Credit on the acquisition of Heta Asset Resolution Italia

Giorgio sits as board member on private equity firms as required by them for the duration of transactions.

He is a member of the Milan office’s CSR committee.

Education and qualifications

Giorgio studied law at the University of Turin.
