Overview

Mehdi has more than 10 years’ experience in advising financial sponsors and corporates on a wide range of M&A transactions, especially in regulated sectors (healthcare, energy, finance, etc.).

He has also developed a recognised expertise of African M&A and regularly advises financial sponsors and corporates on their transactions across the continent, especially in North and West Africa.

Work highlights

Mehdi has advised on a number of landmark deals. The most recent include acting for:

  • Carlyle on the acquisition of AutoForm from Astorg
  • Partners Group on the sale of Cerba HealthCare to EQT
  • Hillenbrand on the acquisition of Linxis Group from IK Investments
  • BUTEC on the acquisition of the Energy Services business of ENGIE in Africa
  • Rubis on the acquisition of Photosol from its founders
  • EIC Fund on more than 25 VC investments, including in PASQAL, Aledia, CorWave, Xenothera, ROSI, HySiLabs, Siléane, XSun

Professional experience

Mehdi has been seconded several months to the financial sponsors group of Linklaters in London.

Prior to working at Linklaters, Mehdi worked almost a year as in-house counsel at Natixis Assurances (life insurance company).

Education and qualifications

Mehdi studied law at the Universities of Paris Nanterre and Paris Saclay. He holds a Master of Arts in Corporate and Tax Law from the University of Paris Saclay.
