Linklaters has advised Carrier Global Corporation (Carrier), a leader in intelligent climate and energy solutions, on the sale of its Riello business to Ariston Group for US$430 million.
Carrier’s global Riello business includes a portfolio of heritage brands, including Riello, Beretta, Vokera and Sylber. Ariston Group, a global player in sustainable climate and water comfort solutions, was selected after completing a comprehensive and competitive auction process. Closing is expected during the first half of 2026, subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions.
This sale continues Carrier’s portfolio management, following the acquisition of Viessmann Climate Solutions last year and the successful divestitures of its Commercial & Residential Fire, Industrial Fire, Global Access Solutions and Commercial Refrigeration businesses, all of which Linklaters advised on.
The global cross-practice team was led by Corporate M&A Partner Derek Tong and Managing Associate Ellie Tayler, Antitrust & Foreign Investment Partner Anna Mitchell, as well as Employment & Incentives Partner Matthew Devey.
The Linklaters team in Italy was led by Corporate M&A Partner and Head of Corporate for Italy Massimiliano Nitti.
