Linklaters has provided comprehensive legal advice to Barings on the acquisition of a logistics portfolio in the Frankfurt/Rhine-Main region.

The portfolio comprises three state-of-the-art cross-dock logistics properties with a lettable area of 17,975 square metres. The properties are fully let to one tenant.

The Frankfurt/Rhine-Main region is one of the most important logistics hubs in Germany. The region has strong demand for logistics space, serving the populous metropolitan area, and is particularly attractive for retailers alongside the chemical and pharmaceutical sectors.

With this transaction, led by Frankfurt partner Hannes Dietmaier (Real Estate), Linklaters’ German real estate practice is further strengthening its focus on advice in the logistics sector. The cross-practice team included, among others, partner Danièle Buchler (tax, Luxembourg), managing associates Dr Alexander Zitzl (Tax, Munich) and Dr Julia Rupp (Corporate/M&A, Frankfurt), associates Felix Kolbe and Maximilian Kühn (both Real Estate, Munich), Dr Benedikt Kruse (Frankfurt), Cornelia Schweigart (Munich), Alex Wie (Luxembourg – all Tax), Alexander Kah (Corporate/M&A, Frankfurt) and transaction lawyer Rosa Ajnwojner (Real Estate, Frankfurt).
