Linklaters has advised Edinburgh Worldwide Investment Trust (EWIT) on the rejection of board change proposals by U.S. activist investor Saba Capital Management (Saba Capital).
At the requisitioned general meeting held this week, EWIT shareholders voted down all nine resolutions proposed by Saba Capital to remove the current board and appoint its own nominees.
The Linklaters team advising EWIT was led by corporate partner Iain Fenn, with support from Tom Bishop, corporate partner, and Marc Harvey, litigation, arbitration and investigations partner.
