Linklaters has advised Rheinmetall AG on the establishment of a new €1.5bn syndicated credit facility.
The facility replaces Rheinmetall’s existing syndicated financing and is being provided by a consortium of the company’s core relationship banks.
The transaction marks the first time that Linklaters has advised Rheinmetall in connection with a syndicated credit facility.
The Linklaters team was led by Urs Lewens (Counsel, Banking) and also included Ulrich Johann (Counsel, Tax), Matthias Horváth (Associate, Banking) and Benedikt Kruse (Associate, Tax; all Frankfurt).
Linklaters regularly advises companies and banks on bond issuances and financing transactions of all types, including syndicated credit facilities. Over the past year, the Corporate Finance team led by Alexander Schlee and Urs Lewens has advised, among others, Bayer, thyssenkrupp, Rheinmetall and various banking syndicates on bond transactions and syndicated credit facilities.
