Maryam is an energy and infrastructure specialist advising on the development, financing and regulation of energy and infrastructure projects globally, as well as on the refinancing and sale and purchase of these assets. As a sector specialist, Maryam’s broad practice sees her providing comprehensive, all-round advice on her transactions.
Maryam has a particular interest in energy transition, nuclear, low carbon energy assets and energy regulation. She also specialises in energy and infrastructure assets within the regulated sectors and has significant experience acting for sponsors, lenders, funds, ECAs and governments on complex, first-in-market transactions.

Maryam is involved in the UK Government’s CCUS and hydrogen expert groups, contributing to the development of the CCUS and hydrogen business models.
She has also been appointed to sit on one of the UK Government’s CCUS fora, established to help drive forward the UK’s CCUS ambitions.
Maryam co-wrote the UK section of Getting Hy? Ambition and the art of the possible in the search for a hydrogen economy, which analyses the business models and regulatory context for clean hydrogen in certain key countries.
