Atif focuses on intellectual property work in a transactional context, particularly for industrials, healthcare and technology clients. He guides clients through the full spectrum of IP issues on high value corporate transactions for both buyers and sellers, corporate restructurings, joint ventures and complex IP licensing structures. Atif is also at the forefront of advising on IP challenges arising from artificial intelligence and is highly experienced in national and international patent litigation.
Atif is a member of the German Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (GRUR) and the German Association of Intellectual Property Experts (VPP). He teaches patent law at the Heilbronn university and is a regular speaker at IP conferences.
Atif is recognised as a leading IP lawyer in various legal directories. He has been named a “Rising Star” by IP Stars 2025, awarded the title “Lawyer of the Future” for IP by German Handelsblatt 2024, and is ranked in the bronze band by IAM Patent 1000 for 2025.

Atif studied law at the University of Passau and Cardiff University. He holds a Master of Laws in Intellectual Property (LL.M. IP) from Queen Mary University of London.
