Overview
Manon is an associate in the Intellectual Property department of Linklaters in Paris. She advises French and international clients on all aspects of intellectual property law, with a particular focus on pan-European patent litigation.
She has acted on multiple patent infringement actions before the French courts (at both first instance and appeal level) and has also represented clients before the Unified Patent Court (UPC). Through this experience, she has developed a strong expertise in UPC disputes, including strategic forum selection, consideration as to evidence of infringement, language and stay of proceedings.
Manon has worked on complex, cross border patent litigation for an international company developing pharmaceutical devices, involving parallel proceedings before the French and English courts and the European Patent Office (EPO). In this context, she has been involved in numerous workstreams, including invalidity and infringement analysis, design around strategies, evidence gathering and coordination between technical and legal teams across several jurisdictions.
She regularly assists clients in intellectual property due diligence exercises in the context of mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments and strategic collaborations. Her work includes the review of patent portfolios, freedom to operate considerations and the assessment of material risks and opportunities from an intellectual property perspective. Manon also advises on French law issues such as employee inventions, patent co ownership, intra group licenses and royalty free assignments. She has experience drafting and negotiating a broad range of intellectual property agreements.
Her patent practice covers a variety of technical fields, including pharmaceuticals and life sciences, industrial processes and equipment, and digital technologies, such as cloud based solutions. She works closely with in house counsel, inventors and external patent attorneys to align legal strategy with the client’s commercial and technological objectives.
In addition to contentious matters, Manon advises on intellectual property strategies, portfolio management and risk mitigation, helping clients structure their innovation projects, protect their core technologies and maximize the value of their IP assets.
Prior to joining Linklaters in 2023, Manon completed an internship in a French law firm specialized in patent litigation, where she gained first hand experience of complex patent disputes.
