Karolis is an Associate in Linklaters’ global competition practice.

He advises on all aspects of EU competition law, including merger control, cartel investigations, abuse of dominance and antitrust compliance issues.

Work highlights

Karolis’ recent experience includes advising:

  • Aperam on the acquisition of ELG Haniel
  • Intel on the sale of its memory business to SK Hynix
  • BP on the sale of its petrochem business to INEOS
  • Vodafone on the combination of its tower infrastructure assets with Telecom Italia
  • Linde AG in relation to its merger with Praxair Inc

Professional experience

Karolis joined the firm as an Associate in 2019. Prior to joining Linklaters, he did a traineeship at the European Commission, Directorate-General for Competition.

Education and qualifications

Karolis holds a post-graduate diploma in Economics for Competition Law from King’s College, an LL.M degree (cum laude) in European Competition Law and Regulation from the University of Amsterdam, and a bachelor’s degree from Newcastle University.

Karolis speaks English and Lithuanian.
