Overview
Lucinda is a Managing Associate in Linklaters' Antitrust & Foreign Investment Group, based in London. She brings extensive experience advising clients on a broad range of transactional, advisory and contentious matters – spanning antitrust and regulatory investigations, global merger control and foreign investment.
Lucinda has a particular focus on regulated sectors, including energy & utilities, financial services, rail, defence and healthcare & life sciences. Lucinda’s specialist expertise in regulatory matters, procurement law and subsidy control sets her apart, enabling her to advise clients on a uniquely wide range of issues that go beyond her core competition law focus – making her a trusted adviser for businesses operating at the intersection of competition, regulation and public law.
Experience
- The UK Government on subsidy, procurement and merger control aspects of the development of the Sizewell C nuclear power plant, including one of the largest subsidy schemes to be approved under the UK’s new standalone regime
- A leading investment bank on the CMA’s long-running investigation into information exchange between traders, which resulted in a successful settlement
- National Grid on the merger control, regulatory and NSIA filings relating to the sale of a 60% interest in its gas transmission and metering business. The enterprise value for the businesses was approximately £9.6bn and this was the largest UK carve out in 2022
- A leading veterinary group on the CMA’s ongoing market investigation into veterinary services for household pets
- The UK Government on the State aid and procurement aspects of the emergency measures introduced for rail companies in response to COVID-19
- National Grid and ENDK on the defence of two public procurement claims in respect of the Viking interconnector project
