Markus is specialised in M&A transactions and projects in the energy sector. Furthermore, he advises on regulation, renewable energies as well as on energy industry and contract law.
Advising Banco Santander S.A. on the financing of the acquisition of a 49% stake by Kansai Electric Power Co. from Iberdrola S.A. in the offshore wind farm Windanker
Advising PGGM Infrastructure Fund on the sale of its 27.4% stake in the offshore wind farm Baltic 2 to Vårgrønn
VERBUND Green Power Deutschland GmbH: Advising Verbund on the acquisition of project rights for several wind energy sites (140 MW) in the Hochsauerland district.
Markus studied law in Munich and Coimbra, Portugal.
From August 2020 to December 2023 he worked as a Legal Assistant at Linklaters. Previously, he worked as a research assistant at Humboldt University of Berlin, Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, as well as at another leading international law firm in the corporate law/M&A sector.
He speaks German, English, Portuguese and Spanish.
