Experience

Rasha played a lead role to advise clients on the following projects:

  • Advising a major water company on proposed reservoir project to be procured under the Special Infrastructure Projects Regulations.
  • Advising the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero on its new nuclear programme, including designing and implementing the Regulated Asset Base Model for the Sizewell C nuclear project.
  • Advising Eni as owner and operator of its Track 1 HyNet CO₂ Transport and Storage carbon capture, utilisation and storage project, with a focus on the new economic regulatory regime and government support package.
  • Advising Thames Water on the £4.2bn procurement of the infrastructure provider for the Thames Tideway Tunnel, and developing the associated regulatory and contractual framework.
  • Advising the Department for Transport on the cessation of national franchising arrangements and the implementation of Emergency Recovery Measures Agreements with English train operating companies in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
  • Advising on major rail projects including the Intercity Express Programme, Thameslink, HS1, HS2 and the Dublin Metrolink Project.
  • Advising the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority on the acquisition of seven AGR nuclear sites from EDF Energy.
