Overview

Saadoun specialises in French real estate and construction law and has particular expertise in complex transactions which require joint real estate, corporate and financial input as well in renewable energy.

Work highlights

Transactions of significance where substantial involvement can be disclosed have included:

  • Advising BAE Systems Pension Funds on a long-term real estate equity partnership with Korian, Europe's leading care services group for elderly and fragile people, in December 2021;
  • Advising Tristan Capital Partners on the acquisition, through its Episo 5 fund, of the Liberté 2 campus, comprising six office buildings in Charenton-le-Pont (94), from two French institutional investors;
  • Advising a Korean Investment Trust set up by JR AMC for its first investment on the French Market for the acquisition of 100% of the French entity owning the 21,771 sq.m prime real estate office complex known as "Le Cristalia" located in Rueil Malmaison. Le Cristalia is let to six tenants including Bristol Myers Squibb for the hosting of its headquarters. Linklaters advised on all aspects of the Transaction including Real Estate, Financing, Structuring and Regulatory matters;
  • BMO Real Estate Partners: advising on the acquisition of the entity owning the trophy building for office and retail uses located at 71-73 Avenue des Champs-Elysées in Paris;
  • Advising Invesco Real Estate European Fund (IREEF) and Invesco Real Estate itself acting as asset manager of IREEF for the acquisition from Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield of the whole share capital of SCI Capital 8, the company owning the prime office complex known as Capital 8, with a total surface area of 45,000 sqm located in the 8th arrondissement in Paris, rue de Monceau, rue Murat and rue du Docteur Lancereaux and fully let to 17 tenants;
  • Advising Meridiam, long-term investor specializing in essential infrastructures, on the partnership with Carrefour group, for the deployment of electric vehicle charging stations on sites located in hypermarket car parks operated by entities of Carrefour group in France;

Education and qualifications

Saadoun graduated from Université Paris II Panthéon Assas (Master 2 in business and Tax law). Saadoun also holds a Master’s degree from ESSEC Business School (Programme Grande Ecole) of Science in Management.
