Mark is a counsel in the Banking group in the firm’s New York office and his practice has a particular focus on cross-border structured and asset-based financings. He also has extensive experience in acquisition financings, fund financings, general corporate financings and debt restructurings. In addition, he advises on bespoke collateral arrangements for insurers and pension funds, as well as transactions driven by regulatory capital and liquidity requirements and cash management and treasury arrangements, including cash pooling structures.
Before joining the New York office, Mark worked in the Corporate and Structured Lending group in London, where he advised banks and corporates on complex financings, bank prudential regulation and bespoke collateralization arrangements for insurers and pension funds. Mark has also worked in the Capital Markets group in the firm’s London and Moscow offices.
Mark maintains an active pro bono practice focused on immigration matters, including asylum cases and related immigration benefits. Notable representations include successfully obtaining a grant of asylum on behalf of a client in removal proceedings before the U.S. Immigration Court, including representation at the individual merits hearing and full trial.
Mark holds an MA (Jurisprudence) from Christ Church, University of Oxford, as well as an LLM (Laws) from University College London.
Before joining Linklaters, Mark qualified as a barrister in London and was awarded a Lord Denning Scholarship, Shelford Scholarship and Hardwicke Entrance Award by the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn, London.
