EBA publishes final two draft RTS on remuneration under IFR/IFD

The EBA has published the final drafts of the Regulatory Technical Standards related to the Investment Firms Directive on:

• the identification of Material Risk Takers; and
• the alternative classes of instrument that can be used to deliver remuneration in “non-cash” form.

These will only be directly applicable to investment firms (or investment firm groups) regulated in the EU, but they will also be important for firms in the UK. This is because they are likely to influence the FCA’s approach in implementing the remuneration provisions of the UK Investment Firms Prudential Regime.
