Linklaters has advised DHCare, a portfolio company of the private equity firm Rhône, on the acquisition of the Human Mobility division of Ottobock. The transaction is structured as a carve-out and primarily comprises the business relating to complex power wheelchairs and specialist mobility solutions.
The proposed acquisition is expected to strengthen DHCare’s position as a pan-European provider of mobility and care solutions and expand its portfolio to include technologically advanced offerings in the complex power wheelchair segment. At the same time, Ottobock Human Mobility’s strong presence in the DACH region complements DHCare’s existing footprint and contributes to a more balanced geographical positioning of the combined group.
Completion of the transaction remains subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals.
