Overview
Julian specializes in banking supervisory law, securities and investment law. Special focus on advising banks and investment firms (i.a.) on licensing requirements, conduct of business rules, capital requirements and governance, cross-border M&A transactions and reorganizations of groups in the banking sector, in particular in relation to France. Julian also specializes in anti-money laundering law, sustainable finance and reporting matters and is a member of the Linklaters ESG Working Group.

- Crédit Mutuel Alliance Fédérale / TARGO Deutschland Financial Holding Group: advising on the acquisition of Oldenburgische Landesbank (OLB).
- Advent International, Centerbridge and their co-investors: advising on the regulatory process in connection with the voluntary takeover offer to acquire S-Dax listed Aareal Bank AG
- A leading international investment bank: advising in connection with the planned restructuring of the European group (including license extension and merger of two regulated group companies)
- A leading international investment bank: advice on and implementation of the licensing procedure as a so-called Class 1 investment firm with BaFin and ECB
- Four of the world's leading international investment banks: advising on their strategic considerations in connection with Brexit, in particular on the issue of licensing requirements/EU passporting, corporate governance and risk management as well as compliance and anti-money laundering obligations. Ongoing advice to these banks on these issues, in particular on licensing requirements and the WpHG
- An international banking group: advising on the transfer of its German business to its French EU hub
- Apple: advice on various regulatory issues
