Overview

Chino is an Associate in Linklaters’ New York office and a member of the U.S. Investment Funds Group. Chino focuses her practice on representing fund sponsors, asset managers and investors regarding the formation and operation of private investment funds across diverse strategies. She advises on the fundraising process, including preparing offering and governing documents and forming onshore and offshore investment structures.

Chino has represented a diverse group of fund sponsors, asset managers and institutional investors, including, among others, Ardian, Barings, DRA Advisors, DuPont Capital Management and J.P. Morgan.

Work Highlights

  • Advised a major global bank’s private wealth and alternative investments group with the formation of onshore and offshore conduit fund vehicles with aggregate commitments exceeding $350 million.
  • Advising a major global investment manager on the organization and offering of investment fund vehicles targeting $4 billion in investments in first lien senior secured loans.
  • Advising a major global investment manager on the structuring and deployment of rated note feeders across a range of funds.
  • Advising a major U.S. real estate manager regarding the formation of a $2.3 billion real estate investment fund vehicle.

Education and Qualifications

Chino holds a Juris Doctor from The George Washington University Law School. In law school, she served as a Student Attorney in the Small Business & Community Economic Development Clinic and subsequently served as the Teaching and Research Assistant for the clinic. Chino was also a member of Black Law Students Association.

Chino obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Foreign Affairs and Psychology from the University of Virginia in 2020. She was a member of the women’s volleyball team.
