Overview

Claire is a managing associate in our investment funds practice in London and has a broad range of experience in private equity, real estate, credit and infrastructure funds, acting for both sponsor and investor clients.

In particular, she has experience acting for large asset managers in connection with fund formation as well as sovereign wealth funds, large pension funds and institutional investors in relation to their investment activity across asset classes.

Claire also regularly collaborates with Linklaters’ Corporate and Structured Lending team to advise investment banks in connection with fund financing matters. Claire spent six months on secondment to our investment funds practice in Paris assisting our clients in France with both transactional and advisory matters and six months on secondment to Barings assisting their funds legal team.

  • Barings: advising on a large number of fund formation mandates, including on the establishment of GPLF4, its c.US$3bn global credit fund, BREEVA2, its €850m European value add real estate fund, and BECPF, its €2.5bn open-ended core real estate fund.
  • A leading UK real estate developer: advising on the formation and fundraising of an offshore fund structure for investment in UK real estate.
  • A number of Australian, Asian and Middle Eastern sovereign wealth funds, pension plans and sovereign wealth investors: advising on their investments into European and U.S. buy-out funds, debt / credit funds and real estate funds, co-investments, managed accounts and strategic partnership / revenue sharing arrangements.

Education and Qualifications

Claire studied law at University College Dublin and the Université de Toulouse Capitole I.
