Overview

Damini has experience advising corporates and private capital firms on complex domestic and cross-border transactions, including private and public M&A, joint ventures, carve-outs and corporate restructurings, across a number of asset classes with particular experience in the private equity, real estate, energy and infrastructure sectors.

Damini also advises on portfolio company advisory matters and general corporate law and governance issues.

In 2023, Damini spent a year on secondment with our New York corporate team.

Work highlights

Recent experience highlights include advising:

  • Brookfield on its recommended £2.2bn cash offer for Network International Holdings plc.
  • Getir on its acquisition of Fresh Direct from Ahold Delhaize.
  • CKI Infrastructure Holdings, CK Asset Holdings and CK Hutchison Holdings on their disposal of a 25 per cent. interest in Northumbrian Water to KKR (acting through its Diversified Core Infrastructure Fund) for US$1bn.
  • DigitalBridge on the establishment of its AtlasEdge 50:50 joint venture with Liberty Global and its related acquisition of a portfolio of edge data centres from Colt Technology Services.
  • Staples Solutions, supported by Cerberus, on the disposal of its interest in Staples Europe to Lyreco and on the disposal of its US-led customer accounts to PBS Sales.
  • Cadillac Fairview, the real estate division of Ontario Teachers Pension Plan Board, on the acquisition of a 25 per cent. interest in Stanhope (Project Stanhope) and its joint venture with Stanhope to invest in the 50:50 joint venture with St John’s College Oxford in respect of the life sciences development in Oxford North.

Professional experience

Damini is actively involved in DEI initiatives, including mentoring students with the Social Mobility Foundation to help them build essential knowledge, skills and confidence to pursue a career in the legal sector, as well as actively supporting graduate recruitment initiatives.

Education and qualifications

Damini holds a BSc in Geography and Economics with First Class Honours from the London School of Economics and Political Science, as well as an MSc in Law, Business and Management with Distinction from the University of Law.
