Overview
Jake is a senior associate in Linklaters’ Litigation, Arbitration & Investigations practice in Washington, D.C. He is a seasoned litigator and investigations lawyer, bringing extensive experience in high-profile criminal prosecutions, complex civil litigation, government and internal investigations, and regulatory advisory work. He has advised multinational corporations and major financial institutions, acted as trial counsel in criminal courts and appellate matters, and coordinated cross-agency law enforcement collaborations.
Prior to joining the firm, Jake was an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia and prosecuted insurrectionists involved in the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol. Previously, he was an associate at a New York City law firm and clerked on the New York Court of Appeals for the Hon. Michael J. Garcia.

- ExxonMobil: managing multiple consumer protection actions brought by state attorneys general against ExxonMobil, including oversight of motion practice, expert witness coordination, and case strategy.
- A Fortune 500 company: litigating a securities fraud enforcement action resulting in a complete defense verdict at trial; drafted key pre- and post-trial submissions and second chaired several witness examinations.
- Multinational clients: defending clients in government and internal investigations, conducting data review, witness interviews, and delivering final reports on risk mitigation and disclosures.
- A global technology company: advising on compliance with U.S. economic sanctions, export control, and data privacy laws, including advice on national security concerns regarding an app.
- An international company: defending in a Foreign Agents Registration Act inquiry before the US Department of Justice.

Education and Qualifications
Jake obtained his Juris Doctor from Yale Law School. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Politics from Washington and Lee University, graduating summa cum laude.
