Overview

Laurent is a Capital Markets & Banking Senior Managing Associate in Linklaters’ Luxembourg office. He advises corporates, sponsors and financial institutions on a broad range of capital markets and banking matters, often involving multiple jurisdictions.

He has particular experience in asset finance transactions across aviation, shipping and other moveable equipment.
Laurent’s practice also covers real estate finance, where he advises lenders and borrowers on the financing and refinancing of Luxembourg and pan-European real estate portfolios. In addition, he has broad experience in restructuring and insolvency-related matters, supporting clients in distressed debt situations and security enforcement scenarios.

Clients rely on Laurent for his clear, pragmatic and solutions-focused advice, his understanding of both lender and borrower perspectives and his ability to deliver coordinated support on cross-border transactions.

  • A large Luxembourg bank: advising on the structuring and implementation of various leasing structures for a broad range of assets (IT equipment, cars, tractors and trailers, locomotives).
  • A joint venture between a Belgian and a Luxembourg real estate developer: advising in relation to the financing of multiple commercial and residential real estate projects located in the “Ban de Gasperich / Cloche d’Or” area of Luxembourg-City.
  • Real estate investment funds: advising on the refinancing of the acquisition of an office building near Luxembourg airport.
  • A pool of large Luxembourg banks: advising on the financing of the development of the new Luxembourg hospital center.
  • Lecta Group: advising in relation to the various financing restructurings and corporate reorganization of the group.
  • Various Luxembourg banks: advising various pools of lenders on separate financings of over 15 dredging and offshore installation vessels.
  • A commercial airline: advising in relation to various financings of over 10 aircraft and spare engines.
  • A global space solutions company: advising in relation to the financing of three satellites.
