Overview
Rob is a corporate partner in the Singapore office, focusing on transactions involving private capital clients. Rob worked in the Linklaters London and Shanghai offices before moving to Singapore in 2016 to lead the Southeast Asia private equity M&A practice, focusing on transactions involving private equity, infrastructure and sovereign wealth funds, including on the establishment and operation of investment platforms across asset classes such as energy, infrastructure and real estate.
Rob has extensive experience acting for clients in Europe and Asia on cross-border transactions, including private mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, growth capital investments and corporate reorganisations. His experience acting for financial sponsors on the full range of investment stages, including venture capital investments and control buy-outs, means he provides solutions across a company’s growth cycle.
He has acted on transactions in sectors including technology, infrastructure, renewables, data centres, education, real estate and services.
During his time in London, Rob spent time on secondment to HgCapital (now Hg), a leading European-headquartered private equity house.

Qatar Investment Authority on:
its partnership with Hongkong Land on the launch of Hongkong Land’s inaugural private real estate fund, the Singapore Central Private Real Estate Fund (SCPREF), which has an initial portfolio of comprising Asia Square Tower 1, Marina Bay Financial Centre Towers 1 & 2, One Raffles Quay and One Raffles Link. With S$8.2bn of assets under management at inception, the transaction made SCPREF the largest private real estate fund in Singapore.
its lead investment in Insider, a Singapore-incorporated software-as-a-service (SaaS) provider of AI-driven advertising solutions, as part of Insider’s Series D fundraising valuing it at US$1.22bn.
its lead investment in Oricell Therapeutics, a China-based innovative pharmaceutical company committed to the development of tumour cellular immunotherapeutics, as part of Oricell’s Series B1 investment round.
Actis on:
- its 90% acquisition through Actis’ second Long Life Infrastructure Fund, alongside Founder and CEO William Lee, of 800 Super Holdings Ltd, a leading integrated environmental management company in Singapore, from the Keppel Asia Infrastructure Fund LP and Keppel Ltd’s Infrastructure Division.
- its acquisition through Actis’ Energy Fund 5 of a majority stake in a Singapore-incorporated platform joint venture, alongside Levanta Renewables to set up to hold three onshore wind assets in development in Vietnam and to invest in a further pipeline of Southeast Asian renewable energy opportunities.
- its investment in Argo Energy, a South Korean renewable energy platform focused on the development of small utility scale and rooftop solar, as part of Actis’ entry into the South Korean energy market.

- Vantage Data Centers, a global provider of hyperscale data center campuses backed by DigitalBridge, on the completion of the US$1.6bn recapitalisation of its APAC platform with investments from affiliates of GIC and the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority.
- Stonepeak on its US$340m joint venture with KJTS Group, a regional leader in liquid cooling solutions for industrial assets.
- GL Capital, a leading Chinese private equity firm specialising in healthcare, on matters related to Silver Pegasus Holding Limited during the formation of its c.US$240m continuation vehicle anchored by a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, in one of the largest general partner-led secondaries deals completed in China in 2025. The transaction supports the next stage of growth for one of GL Capital’s healthcare platforms in China, SciClone Pharmaceuticals.
- Global Power Synergy Public Company Limited on its acquisition of a 25% interest in the 595MW Changfang and Xidao (CFXD) offshore wind farms in Taiwan from Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners.
- Summa Equity, a thematic investment firm defined by purpose-driven investments designed to address social, environmental, and business challenges that need to be solved as a society, on its control buyout of Sengenics Corporation Pte. Ltd., a functional proteomics company with a unique technology for production of full-length, correctly folded and functional proteins designed to advance precision medicine.
- DigitalBridge on its establishment of EdgePoint Infrastructure, its ASEAN tower investment platform, as well as various underlying investments.
