Overview
Xunming’s experience spans across India, China, Vietnam, Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore. He has advised issuers on an array of industries ranging from financial services, renewables, infrastructure, and telecoms, as well as on different highly complex structures, such as orphan, guaranteed and secured structures. He also advises issuers on general corporate, governance and disclosure matters.
Work highlights
Xunming has worked on some of the most important deals in the region including advising:
- Nickel Industries Limited on its issuance of US$225m of senior secured notes issued on a private placement basis to credit funds.
- a consortium of credit funds on a US$625m fixed rate exchangeable secured bonds issued by Vingroup Joint Stock Company, the largest conglomerate of Vietnam.
- the joint lead managers in Adani Green Energy Limited's maiden issuance of US$750m 4.375% senior secured notes due 2024. The notes are aligned with ICMA's Green Bond Principles and Climate Bonds Initiative.
- a consortium of banks as joint lead managers on the issue of US$400m senior secured notes due 2029, guaranteed by some of JSW Infrastructure Limited’s subsidiaries. This offer of sustainability-linked bonds marks JSWIL's debut on the international bond markets.
- the joint lead managers on the issue of US$450m 6.25% secured US dollar high yield bonds due 2025 by a Mauritian special purpose vehicle, which repackage rupee-denominated secured bonds issued by Delhi International Airport Limited.
- Chindata Group Holdings Limited on its debut issue of US$300m 10.50% US dollar high yield bonds due 2026, the first non-real estate PRC high yield bond issuance in recent years.
Education and qualifications
Xunming holds a Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honours) from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). He also attained a Bachelor of Civil Law (Distinction) from University of Oxford.
Xunming is New York, and England and Wales qualified.
