Overview
Xunming advises issuers and underwriters on a variety of capital markets transactions, including initial public offerings (IPOs), high yield and investment grade offerings, private credit financings, acquisition financings, project bonds, convertible and exchangeable bonds, corporate hybrids and medium-term-note (MTN) programmes, as well as liability management exercises (debt tender offers, exchange offers and consent solicitations) and restructurings. He also advises clients on corporate and securities law matters, including SEC compliance and disclosure issues.
Xunming has extensive experience across India, China, Australia, Vietnam, Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore, and has worked on some of the most high profile and complex transactions in the region.
Prior to moving to Asia, Xunming worked in the New York, London and Hong Kong offices of other international law firms.

- on various liability management transactions for Azure Power, Vedanta, Bharti Airtel, Bharat Petroleum, GMR Hyderabad, Delhi International Airport (first ever orphan tender offer), Summit Digitel, HCL Technology, Shriram Transport, Muthoot Finance, Tata Motors, UPL Corporation, Bumi Serpong, Pertamina Gas Negara, SATS Ltd and PTTEP, among others
- private credit financings for Nickel Industries Limited’s US$225m of senior secured high yield notes and Vingroup’s US$625m fixed rate exchangeable secured bonds
- the joint lead managers on the issue of US$450m 6.25% secured US dollar high yield notes due 2025 by Delhi International Airport Limited using an orphan structure
- the joint lead managers on the debut issue of US$400m senior secured high yield sustainability-linked notes due 2029 by JSW Infrastructure Limited and its US$337m initial public offering on both the National Stock Exchange of India and the Bombay Stock Exchange
- Chindata Group Holdings Limited on its debut issue of US$300m 10.50% US dollar high yield notes due 2026, the first PRC high yield debut issuance in recent years.
