Overview

Joshua is a managing associate in the London investment funds practice. Joshua acts for fund sponsors and institutional investors across a range of sectors, including private equity, infrastructure and real estate. He has experience advising on fund formations, secondary transactions, capital raisings, co-investments and strategic partnership arrangements.

Work highlights:

Joshua's experience includes advising:

  • A UK asset manager: advising on the launch of its flagship infrastructure fund with seed assets of £1.2bn.
  • Equitix: advising on the establishment of an infrastructure co-investment structure and related carried interest arrangements.
  • A number of sovereign wealth funds, institutional and pension fund clients: advising on investments in a range of private equity, infrastructure and credit funds, including co-investments and strategic partnership arrangements.
  • Secondary transactions: advising numerous institutional investors as sellers or buyers of LP interests, as well as acting for fund sponsors on GP-led secondaries transactions.

Professional experience

Prior to joining Linklaters, Josh was an associate in the funds team at Allens in Sydney, Australia. He also completed a nine-month secondment at Ardian as part of the UK legal team.

Education and qualifications

Josh studied Creative Industries and Law at Queensland University of Technology.
