Overview
Julia Long is Counsel in Linklaters’ Litigation, Arbitration & Investigations practice based in New York. She focuses on complex commercial litigation. Previously, Julia served as a law clerk to Hon. Lorna G. Schofield in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York and to the Hon. Kenneth F. Ripple of the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.

Julia maintains an active pro bono practice. Her representations have included:
- Louisiana-based non-profits: successfully challenged three third-party subpoenas issued to client in federal court.*
- Individual: successfully represented in connection with administrative appeal of denial of Access-A-Ride benefits.*
- Asylum applicant: obtained asylum for an applicant who was mistreated in his home country on account of gender identity.*

Education and qualifications
Julia obtained her Juris Doctor, graduating with highest honors, from the George Washington University Law School where she served as Senior Notes Editor for The George Washington Law Review and was a recipient of the John Bell Lamer Award. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts from George Washington University (summa cum laude).
