James is a Managing Associate in Linklaters’ Sustainability practice with a wide range of experience across the full spectrum of our ESG offering, including in the sustainable finance space and with particular experience in the review of existing, and implementation of new, sustainability governance and compliance frameworks. His work includes dealing with matters relating to human rights, supply chain management and environmental, health and safety, social and governance issues in a range of contexts, including as part of corporate transactions (both pre and post-acquisition).
Matt leads Linklaters work on responsible business globally, ensuring that the firm’s own ESG performance reflects the expectations of its stakeholders and the advice provided to clients on many related themes. He is active in a range of sustainability networks including as co-chair of the Legal Sustainability Alliance and as chair of Business for Societal Impact. He is also a Board Member and Trustee of the UNGC-UK Network and is an Advisor to the Good Governance Academy's ESG Exchange.
Paul is Director for Technology Operations and Delivery Centres , with a global responsibility. As part of his remit, he helps decide, manage the technology products and services we contract for with a focus on ensuring alignment to the firms strategic ambitions around all things environmental. He sits on the global steering group for ESG and chairs the sub working group for Technology.
Steve is Head of Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Relationship Management for the firm. Steve and his team are responsible for the sourcing, onboarding, contracting and ongoing management of Linklaters’ suppliers. The team seek to develop transparent partnerships with suppliers, assessing potential suppliers not only on their price and service quality offering but also on their commitment to our sustainability agenda.
Suzanne manages the firms environmental programme and environmental management system which drives and delivers continual improvement in the firms’ environmental performance. She works across geographies and with many Business Services Teams including operations, premises, technology and events to help embed environmental practices. Current programmes of work include delivering on the firms SBTi approved carbon reduction target to 2030, influencing the sustainability of our new HQ fit out design, exit from our existing HQ and responsible sourcing of specialist suppliers.
Julian is Sustainability Director at Change Please. He has built a comprehensive career in the consumer goods industry, with a focus on sustainability throughout his leadership roles in award winning social enterprises. Change Please is a social enterprise that trains homeless people to be baristas and pays them the London Living Wage. They provide housing to these individuals within 10 days of starting employment and support them into onward jobs. Change Please has expanded to eight countries and has been listed by Marketing Week as one of the 100 Most Disruptive brands in the UK. The organization represented the UK in the Chivas Venture Finals and won World's Best Social Enterprise. Bloomberg has named Change Please the World's most promising start-up, and it was Sir Richard Branson's "Start Up of The Year" in The Sunday Times.
