Overview

Tatiana Lisboa Padrão is a Managing Associate in the Litigation, Arbitration & Investigations department of the Lisbon office. Her recent practice focuses on litigation and arbitration, particularly in M&A litigation matters, civil litigation and commercial contracts disputes.

In addition to civil and commercial litigation expertise advising corporate clients, she has also gained experience in restructuring and insolvency issues, as well as advising clients in class actions.

She lectured practical sessions of Economic and Business Law at the Lisbon School of Business & Economics of the Catholic University. She co-chairs the Under-40 Council of the Portuguese Arbitration Association (APA).

Experience

After doing her traineeship at Uría Menéndez-Proença de Carvalho (2011-2013) and obtaining her lawyer qualification from the Portuguese Bar Association (November 2013), Tatiana then worked for three years at the same firm as an Associate (2013-2016), when she decided to do her LL.M. in London (2016-2017), followed by an arbitration internship at Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP (at the London office) (2018), which then motivated her to join Linklaters in Lisbon (2018).

Tatiana is a member of the Young ICCA (International Council for Commercial Arbitration), the YIAG (Young International Arbitration Group), the Portuguese Arbitration Association (APA), the Club Español e Iberoamericano del Arbitraje (CEIA), and the Portuguese Bar Association.

Beyond the Office

Tatiana obtained her Law Degree at the Oporto Law School of the Catholic University of Portugal (2010), being awarded a university scholarship based on her merits. She then went on to obtain a Master´s Degree in Law and Business of the same University (at the Lisbon Law School) (2013), followed by a Negotiation Course in Madrid and Arbitration Training in Paris (2017). Furthermore, her drive to study led Tatiana to do an LL.M. in London at the London School of Economics (LSE) (2016-2017) with a dissertation on arbitration.
