Experience

Nicholas joined the Pensions Group at Linklaters in 2007 and has over 10 years’ experience advising employers and trustees on a wide range of pensions issues.

Nicholas’ experience includes advising trustees and employers in relation to scheme mergers, implementing benefit re-design, scheme closures, and scheme funding structures.  Nicholas also advises on all pensions aspects of share and business sales and purchases, and more recently has advised in relation to a very large bulk annuity contract structured as a buy-in initially, and followed by a buy-out.

Nicholas is a committee member of the NAPF South East Group, which he has been involved with for over 10 years, and also is a member of the Society of Pensions Consultants’ PR Committee and Legislation Committee and frequently provides external talks on a variety of issues, including monitoring employer support and pensions aspects of restructurings.
