Overview

Based in the firm’s Brussels office, Sari advises clients on all facets of European, Belgian and Dutch competition law, including merger control, State aid, foreign subsidies, abuse of dominance and cartels.

She has assisted clients in a wide range of sectors, including healthcare, energy, air transport, construction, defense, ESG and FMCG. Sari assists global corporations in relation to international transactions, state aid and foreign subsidies procedures and complex antitrust investigations by the European Commission and the Belgian and Dutch competition authorities. 

Professional experience

Sari is an Associate in the global competition practice and a member of the Brussels Bar since October 2019.

Based in the firm’s Brussels office, Sari advises clients on all facets of European, Belgian and Dutch competition law, including merger control, State aid, foreign subsidies, abuse of dominance and cartels.

She has assisted clients in a wide range of sectors, including healthcare, energy, air transport, construction, defense, ESG and FMCG. Sari assists global corporations in relation to international transactions, state aid and foreign subsidies procedures and complex antitrust investigations by the European Commission and the Belgian and Dutch competition authorities. 

Sari has also participated in a (hybrid) secondment at an FMCG client.

Before joining Linklaters, Sari had the opportunity to intern at the Merger Case Support and Policy Unit of the Directorate General for Competition of the European Commission.

Education and qualifications

Sari holds an LL.M degree in European Competition Law and Regulation from the University of Amsterdam (the Netherlands) and a Master of Laws from Ghent University (Belgium).

During her Master studies in Ghent, Sari participated in an overseas Exchange Program to Santa Clara University (California).

Sari advises clients in Dutch, English and French.
