Linklaters advises banks on Shawbrook’s landmark £1.92bn London IPO
Linklaters has advised the underwriting banks on UK digital banking platform Shawbrook’s £348m initial public offering (IPO), the largest listing on the London Stock Exchange so far this year. At the offer price, Shawbrook’s market capitalisation was approximately £1.92bn.
Shawbrook is a differentiated UK digital banking platform offering a broad range of lending and savings products. This landmark listing signals renewed optimism in London’s public markets.
The Linklaters team was led by Global Co-Heads of Equity Capital Markets Pam Shores and James Wootton, and Corporate Counsel Asad Ahmed.
This follows Linklaters recently acting as English counsel to the banks on the $682m IPO of American energy and AI infrastructure company Fermi – the first concurrent dual listing on Nasdaq and the London Stock Exchange for 27 years. The firm also recently advised the banks on Verisure plc’s €13.7bn IPO, the largest-ever European private-equity backed IPO.
