Overview
Mark is a counsel in the banking group in the firm’s New York office. He is a member of the New York bar and admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales. He has a wide-ranging banking practice acting for leading financial institutions and a number of corporate borrowers operating across a variety of sectors and jurisdictions, with a particular focus on cross-border structured and asset-based financings.

- Sound Point Capital Management in connection with a US$600m trade receivables securitization facility with Centric Brands, Inc.
- Mitie in connection with their U.S. private placement note issuances.
- Sound Point Capital Management in connection with the amendment and restatement of Ferroglobe PLC’s US$150m trade receivables securitization program and the establishment of a fonds commun de titrisation securitisation vehicle under French law.
- Advising an international group of secured lenders in connection with syndicated and bilateral facilities provided to Global Brands Group.
- New Look on its £1.35 billion debt restructuring via a scheme of arrangement.
- Morgan Stanley on a reorganization of its European lending business in preparation for Brexit.
- Lloyds Banking Group on its implementation of the UK’s bank ringfencing regime (as required by the Financial Services (Banking Reform) Act 2013).
- Corporate secondment to Bank of America to assist with a reorganization of its European businesses.
- Secondment to the Group Corporate Treasury division of Lloyds Banking Group.
Beyond the Office
Before joining the New York office, Mark worked in the banking group in London, where he advised banks and corporates on complex financings, bank prudential regulation and bespoke collateralization arrangements for insurers and pension funds. Mark has also worked in the capital markets group in the firm’s London and Moscow offices.
