Belgian Financial Legislation Tracker - Update 28 January 2025

The latest version of our financial legislation tracker is now available.

The updates include:

1. The submission to Parliament of the draft law on digital operational resilience for the financial sector and containing various provisions implementing the DORA regulation.
2. The advice of the Council of State on the obligation for banks to provide motivation of refusal/termination of access to bank accounts.
3. The publication in Belgian State Gazette of draft law on non performing loans.
4. The submission to Parliament of the draft law on the oversight of the providers of financial messaging services.
5. The submission to Parliament of the draft law amending the Income Tax code 1992 by introducing neutrality for sister mergers (following the transposition of the mobility directive).
