Linklaters advises Vandemoortele on strategic acquisitions finance
Linklaters has advised Vandemoortele Group, a European food company with leading positions in bakery products and margarines, culinary oils, and fats, on the financing aspects of all their strategic acquisitions over the past eighteen months. The transactions included the acquisition of Délifrance (a leading European producer of high-quality frozen bakery), a majority stake in Banneton Bakery (a high-quality manufacturer of frozen pastries in North America), Bunge’s European margarine and plant-based spreads business, Italian bakery food manufacturer Dolciaria Acquaviva and Italian frozen bakery specialist Lizzi. These acquisitions reinforce Vandemoortele's position as a leading player in the frozen bakery and plant-based foods industries in Europe, the United States, and Asia.
Vandemoortele’s expansion strategy focuses on broadening its market reach and diversifying its product offerings to align with sustainability and health-conscious trends, strengthening its competitive edge globally.
