Linklaters appoints Hubert Segain as Head of the Paris Corporate/M&A practice

Linklaters is pleased to announce the appointment of Hubert Segain as Head of the Paris Corporate/M&A Practice, effective from 1 May 2025. 

With more than 25 years of experience, Hubert specialises in public and private M&A, joint ventures, stock exchange law, capital market transactions, corporate governance and group reorganisations. He is the lead relationship partner for many major French and international clients, whom he advises on a wide range of transactions.

Comprising around 50 M&A lawyers, including 8 partners (Mehdi Boumedine, Julien Bourmaud-Danto, Bruno Derieux, Nicolas Le Guillou, Florent Mazeron, Hubert Segain, Pierre Thomet and Pierre Tourres) and 5 counsels (Margaux Bognon-Küss, Véra Maramzine, Thomas Pontacq, Louis Prades and Yohann Smadja), our Paris practice advises on the most complex and innovative transactions on the market in a wide range of sectors, including banks and financial institutions, insurance, industry, automotive and mobility, consumer goods, healthcare, new technologies, energy and infrastructure. During the first quarter of 2025, Linklaters advised on M&A deals with targets or acquirers in France worth a total of $13bn¹.
