Overview

Anu is a US-qualified senior associate, who focuses on high yield bonds and leveraged finance transactions across Europe. Anu advises financial institutions, corporates and private equity sponsors in cross-border financing transactions including high yield offerings, private placements and liability management transactions. 

Over the course of her career in European leveraged finance, Anu has worked on numerous market leading transactions including for First Quantum Minerals, Tereos, Vía Célere and Neinor Homes. 

Work highlights
  • Tullow Oil: advising J.P. Morgan and other banks in connection with a London-listed oil and gas company’s offering of $1.8b senior secured notes. Advising dealer managers in relation to a tender offer by Tullow Oil for a portion of its senior notes due 2025.
  • Harbour Energy: advising J.P. Morgan, BNP Paribas and other banks in connection with a UK listed independent oil and gas exploration company offering of $500m senior notes.
  • First Quantum Minerals: advising a Canadian-based mining and metals company’s offering of $1.3b senior notes and redemption of a portion of its senior notes due 2025.
  • Tereos: advising a leading French global agro-industrial company’s offering of €350m senior notes. The offering represented the first high yield bond issuance in the 2022 Euro market.
  • Vía Célere: advising a Värde Partners portfolio company, one of the largest homebuilder companies in Spain on its debut high yield offering of €300m senior secured notes. The offering represented the first green bond by a residential real estate developer in the Euro market.
  • Neinor Homes: advising a Spanish multinational hotel company on its debut high yield offering of €400m senior secured notes. The offering represented the second green bond by a residential real estate developer in the Euro market.
  • El Corte Inglés: advising a leading department store in Spain and one of the world’s largest retailers’ offering of €600m senior notes. 

Professional experience

In 2023, Anu was seconded to J.P. Morgan’s debt capital markets legal department in London.

Anu previously worked at leading U.S. law firms in New York and London.

Education and qualifications

Anu studied economics-philosophy at Columbia University and holds a Juris Doctor from Columbia Law School.
