Overview

Bruno Ferreira Vieira is an Associate in the Banking group of the Finance and Energy & Infrastructure Department of the Linklaters Lisbon office. He has been developing his practice in the areas of Banking & Finance Law with a special emphasis on loan financing, in particular, syndicated loans and leveraged finance, as well as on the creation of security packages. Furthermore, Bruno has experience in financings for acquisitions and real estate financings.

He assists domestic and international clients, such as banks and other financial institutions, on national and cross-border issues, in particular, related to financial markets and the energy and infrastructure sector.

Professional experience

Bruno started his legal career in 2016 as Summer Trainee at the local law firm Morais Leitão, Galvão Teles, Soares da Silva e Associados.

He joined the Lisbon office of Linklaters as Junior Associate in 2018 and became Associate in 2021, working in the Banking Group of the Linklaters Lisbon Finance and Energy & Infrastructure Department in advisory and transactional work.

Furthermore, Bruno is Guest Lecturer at the School of Business and Economics of the Catholic University since 2020, where he teaches Economic and Business Law.

Education and qualifications

Bruno holds a Law Degree of the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon (2017). He then obtained his Master´s Degree - LLM International Business Law at the Law School of the Tilburg University in the Netherlands (2018).

Bruno furthermore completed the Postgraduate Course in Corporate Finance of the Private Law Research Centre of the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon, and attended the Postgraduate Course in Consumer Law at the Institute of Consumer Law of the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon.

During his time at university Bruno was very active in university life, as student counsellor, tutor and member of various bodies of the Academic Association of the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon.

Bruno speaks Portuguese, English and Spanish.
