As part of his broad practice, Harry acts for clients in class action litigations, crisis management situations, competition disputes, ESG matters, financial products litigation, internal and regulatory investigations, and public law matters. A litigator by training, he has particular experience dealing with government institutions (domestic and overseas) and has acted in high profile matters for and against government bodies and departments. He has a strong interest in China and has acted for numerous clients in the region. 

Harry has significant overseas experience, having spent four years with Linklaters in Tokyo and Hong Kong SAR. He is dual qualified (England & Wales, and Hong Kong SAR), speaks three languages fluently (English, German, Greek) and holds academic degrees in business, politics and law.

Harry’s recent matters include:

  • Acting for a UK government department in relation to four class action competition litigations concerning public infrastructure.
  • Acting for a large overseas corporate in relation to a UK ESG class action in the English court concerning allegations of environmental damage and pollution.
  • Acting for the Home Builders Federation and certain housing developers in relation to negotiations with the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities regarding building safety, the developer “self-remediation terms” and related matters.
  • Acting for a global logistics company in a high-value multi-jurisdictional SPA litigation following the company’s divestment of its Europe business.
  • Acting for a major US investment bank in relation to various regulatory, multi-jurisdictional fraud investigations into the bank’s transactions with a Malaysian sovereign wealth fund.
  • Acting in numerous regulatory and internal investigations for high-profile financial institutions answering to sector regulators in Hong Kong SAR, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea and the UK. 

Education and qualifications

Harry holds a first-class degree in Commerce from the University of Birmingham, a Master of Science in Politics and Government in the European Union from the London School of Economics, and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Law. Harry is a Solicitor-Advocate and has Higher Rights of Audience in the English civil courts.
