Overview
Colas has been promoted Managing Associate in May 2024 in the Corporate M&A department. He was seconded to our financial sponsors group in our London office in 2024.
He offers expertise in advising both purchasers and sellers on M&A transactions. He assists investment fund managers and institutional investors with their investments, reorganisations, syndications and general corporate matters.
Work highlights
- DigitalBridge: advising on its strategic acquisition of Yondr Group, a global developer and operator of hyperscale data centres, in a transaction that involved a multi-jurisdictional reorganisation and complex legal structuring.
- Wendel: advising on its investment in Globeducate, co-owned with Providence Equity Partners. Globeducate is a global operator of 65 international K–12 schools across Europe, Canada, and India, focused on delivering premium education and fostering global citizenship.
- ARDIAN : assisting on the structuring, internal financing and subsequent syndications of a 100% stake in CampusParc Management Inc., concessionaire of the Ohio State University's parking system.
- DigitalBridge and Vantage Data Centers: advising on a US$9.2bn equity investment in Vantage Data Centers, led by investment vehicles managed by DigitalBridge Group, Inc. and Silver Lake, global leaders in technology investing.
- Moolec Science Limited: advising on the business combination with LightJump Acquisition Corporation, which resulted in a newly formed holding company of the combined entity, Moolec Science SA, which listed on Nasdaq.
- GIC Real Estate Pte. Ltd.: advising Singapore's sovereign wealth fund, on its acquisition of an approximately 95% stake in the Sani/Ikos hotels group, an innovative and rapidly growing group of luxury resorts in unique beachfront locations in the Mediterranean.
Education and qualifications
Colas joined Linklaters Corporate / M&A practice in 2020, having previously gained experience in an international law firm in France.
He holds a DJCE – Diplôme de Juriste Conseil d’Entreprise in Legal Management of Business Organisations from the University Lyon III in France.
He is fluent in French and English.
