Overview

Flávia Marques is an associate in the Finance and Energy & Infrastructure department in Lisbon. Her practice has focused on Banking & Finance, whereby she has been assisting national and international corporate clients such as banks, investment funds and other financial institutions on national and cross-border matters, such as loan facility finance matters, e.g. syndicated loans, acquisition financing, real estate financing, security packages, loan portfolio transactions across the different asset classes, and drafting and reviewing the respective contracts. 

More recently, Flávia has been assisting on project finance and project development, especially in the energy and infrastructure sectors.

Professional experience

Flávia started her legal career in 2018 as Summer Trainee for the local law firm Nuno Alexandre Rocha in Coimbra, and in 2019 at local law firm Luís Filipe Pirré, Advogados LFPLAW, also in Coimbra.

She then joined Linklaters’ Lisbon office in 2020 as a junior associate in the Finance department, where she is now an associate.

Education and qualifications

Flávia holds a Law Degree of the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra (2018). She then completed a Master´s in Law, with a specialisation in Business Law, at the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra (2020)

During her academic path, Flávia was a member of the Elections Committee of the Academic Association of the Coimbra University and Secretary of its General Assembly. She gained international experience during her studies by attending the Winter School on German and European Business Law at the Law Faculty of the Julius-Maximilians-University of Würzburg, Germany, and a course on Economics of Money and Banking at Columbia University, New York, USA.

Flávia is a fully qualified Member of the Portuguese Bar Association since 2022.

She speaks Portuguese, French and English.
