Lisa joined the firm as a Trainee in 2007 and was promoted to Managing Associate in 2014. She has also spent time on secondment to our Hong Kong office. Lisa has a broad range of experience across mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, complex carve-outs and restructurings. She has particular expertise in advising companies and funds on strategic investments and fundraisings in the Technology sector.

Lisa is a mentor on the firm’s Stepping Forward programme for Associates and a champion of legal tech and innovation, having helped establish the innovation and efficiency initiative within the firm’s Corporate practice.

Who or what inspires you?

My mother who worked full time whilst raising a family without an established network living in Australia. She showed me the meaning of hard work, independence and how to juggle both career and family life.

What is an interesting fact about you or a surprising skill you have?

I have played both the piano and the violin since I was five years old.

Lisa is a Managing Associate in the London office. She is a corporate law specialist and advises companies on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters, including public and private acquisitions, joint ventures and corporate restructurings. Lisa has particular expertise in advising companies and funds on strategic investments and private capital fundraisings within the technology sector and is recognised as a recommended lawyer for Fintech by Legal 500.

Lisa’s experience includes advising:

  • a leading global fintech company on the acquisition of a global payment services company based in the UK
  • a “big tech” company on multiple acquisitions of UK-based technology start-ups
  • a leading global payments company on the acquisition of a US-based payments software technology company
  • Investec on its disposal of the Kensington Group
  • Balfour Beatty on the defence of the proposed takeover by Carillion and disposal of Parsons Brinckerhoff
  • DP World on its acquisition of Unifeeder, a Danish ports and logistics company
  • various investment funds and tech companies on private capital fundraisings, strategic investments and corporate reorganisations within the technology sector

Professional experience

Lisa has spent time working in the firm’s Hong Kong office as well as on secondment to Citigroup and Rio Tinto in London.

Education and qualifications

Lisa holds a degree in Law (First Class Honours) and a degree in Commerce from the University of Sydney.

Lisa is a qualified solicitor in the UK (England & Wales) and New South Wales, Australia.
