Tom Glocer named as second member of Linklaters’ International Advisory Group

Linklaters announces the appointment of Tom Glocer, former CEO of Thomson Reuters and founder & Managing Partner of Angelic Ventures, as the second member of its International Advisory Group.

The Group, which is chaired by former UK Foreign Secretary the Rt. Hon. the Lord Hague of Richmond, is intended to support the governance and strategic direction-setting of the firm - acting as a sounding board, providing critical input as the firm develops and refines its strategy, suggesting priorities for consideration, highlighting opportunities and signposting risk.

Welcoming Tom Glocer to the group, Robert Elliott, Linklaters’ Chairman and Senior Partner, said: “We are delighted that someone with Tom’s breadth of business expertise and legal background will be joining us. His experiences on the boards of organisations such as Merck & Co., Inc., Morgan Stanley, K2 Intelligence and the Council on Foreign Relations stand him as an ideal adviser to support the development of our firm and provide us with some unique insights. We believe that Tom will be a valuable addition to the Group.”

Tom Glocer said: “I am looking forward to working with Linklaters and offering guidance on a wide range of matters that impact the firm and its clients. Linklaters is the first law firm to establish an advisory group such as this, so I am particularly excited to be part of it and I look forward to working alongside other talented professionals to support the firm.”

As the International Advisory Group develops, it will become accessible to all partners within the firm and play a role at the firm’s global partner meetings. Additional members of the group will be identified over the coming months.
