FT & HERoes campaign names Claudia Parzani a top 10 Champion of Women in Business
We are pleased to announce that the Financial Times and HERoes campaign 2018 has named Claudia Parzani, Managing Partner Western Europe and Global Business Development and Marketing Partner, as a top 10 Champion of Women in Business out of 100 female executives.
Claudia has been included in the FT & HERoes 100 Female champions category that celebrates 100 senior female role models who are helping to increase gender diversity in the workplace.
A similar recognition has been received by Claudia last year, when the FT and HERoes campaign named her as one of the top 10 global champions of women in business.
Claudia, who has been with Linklaters for more than 10 years and is a member of the firm’s executive committee, is the global champion for gender. She actively sponsors the gender action plan including the Women’s Leadership Programme, a development and sponsorship programme for Managing Associates, and Stepping Forward, a new coaching programme for Associates. Both initiatives aim to retain, develop and progress talented women in the firm. For the Milan office she has established Breakfast@linklaters, breakfast forums for the female business community involving representatives from top tier organisations.
Claudia is the ambassador of Inspiring Girls, an international campaign launched in Italy by the association Valore D (the first association of large Italian companies supporting women’s leadership) and was President of such association from 2013 to 2016. She has also contributed to the development of the ‘In The Boardroom’ programme, facilitating the training of 300 women for board roles across Europe, and The CEO School for women on executive boards.
Commenting on this recognition, Claudia said,
“Our programmes and initiatives are aimed to encourage young women to be brave and ambitious, remembering that the only limits are those we impose on ourselves. We should all work together against the stereotypes that limit young women’s aspirations.”
Gideon Moore, Firmwide Managing Partner, Linklaters said,
“We are delighted to see Claudia continue to play such a key part in encouraging a diverse and inclusive workplace. Her energy, enthusiasm and encouragement to support our drive to identify new ways to support women in the firm is inspirational.”
Claudia is the firm’s Managing Partner for Western Europe and Global Business Development and Marketing Partner. For 3 years she was President of Valore D – an association of 180 companies supporting women’s leadership. She is also Chair of Allianz Italia and Deputy Chair of the Italian Stock Exchange as well as external member of Politecnico di Milano, the largest technical university in Italy.
